IM Aronyak Ghosh stunned Turkey no.4 GM Vahap Sanal to score a hat-trick at 24th Dubai Open 2024 Category A (>2300). The only other player at 3/3 in this category is Turkey's youngest GM Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus. The second seeded GM Raunak Sadhwani and GM Sethuraman S P are at 2.5/3 each. Total 69 players including 24 GMs, 27 IMs and 3 WGMs are taking part in Category A. The average rating is 2429. That should give you an inkling about the strength of the tournament. The tournament is being organized by Dubai Chess & Culture Club from 27th May to 4th June 2023 at Dubai Chess & Culture Club, UAE. The nine-round Swiss league tournament has a time control of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move no.1.
